Turtle Dock Station Review

Turtle (yes that's what my daughter called it) loves this dock and spends hours every day there. I bought him a fancy one but he didn't use it. So.

Will not carry a turtle larger than a child. My African side-necked tortoise is probably about 6 inches and too big for that. I ended up making my own out of PVC and egg crates!

It took my turtle a day or two to figure out what the new thing in his tank was, but once he did he started using it regularly. I hope the suction cups will work better as I clean the tank.

Firstly it was delivered to the wrong address through no fault of your own and luckily I received it within a day. The turtle swimmer was as advertised. Actually it was bigger than I wanted but it was my fault for not reading the measurements. In any case, one of our turtles breeds fish very well and will soon be using it as it is starting to sink due to its small size! I would highly recommend to anyone with turtles!

My turtle Mikey broke a small ramp a few weeks ago and I had to build her a medium sized ramp. I love them because they are weighted at the end of the ramp to keep me in the water. The suction cups weren't that good so I replaced them with the ones I had at home and they were a lot stronger. I like this product because it creates space in the aquarium for a turtle to swim under and because the height above the water is always the same, but when the suction cups come loose it is inappropriate for a turtle to warm up. Also, in less than 2 months of turtle growth, the floating dock already begins to sink on the side it basks on, which I attribute to the flooding of the dock rather than the size of the turtle causing it. It was great fun watching our turtle get used to her new floating dock. At first she was afraid to climb on him, because every time she tried, he moved - my god!
