We got to know raclette in Europe and wanted our own. We love the extra hob, but you need to make sure it's perfectly in place and the temperature is just right. If the temperature gets too high, the plate will warp and the pancake batter will spill out of the molds. The grill side is good for adding sausages, mushrooms or other vegetables. When we found out it was the temperature we struggled to put the plate back up but by then we were done eating. The recipe book that came with it was good for ideas and we used the pancake batter recipe which turned out great.
