I bought this pillow to use in my chair after hip surgery (to keep my legs higher than in the chair) and it has been the best thing I have done for my recovery. Not only is it incredibly comfortable in my chair, it also allows me to sleep in bed like a baby. Because of my incision, I could only get comfortable on my back, but I could never sleep on my back. I fall asleep with my feet on this pillow and STAY asleep on my back! 6 nights in a row I was able to sleep 3 hours straight before waking up for the inevitable trip to the bathroom. And then I fall asleep again for another 3 hours. I can continue using this even after my healing is complete! I chose this one for the gradual curve and I don't think I'll like the flat top models. I haven't worn a pillowcase, but will likely find or make one to match. The zipper on the lid is fine, but after a week of use it starts to unroll. But that doesn't bother me because I can sleep!
