The rind was thicker than my other peeler.
I bought this peeler because I grew up with this type and needed to peel a lot of carrots quickly. The peeler could barely peel the carrots and the skins were thick. I finally returned to my stainless steel wiki peeler. My wiki peeler is much sharper and only removes thin skins from carrots. I would return the Vinco peeler if it didn't cost more to send back than to buy.
