Several other people have reviewed this product and raved about its quality. I will too. It's pretty amazing. From the photos I wasn't sure if the connector itself was solid steel or some other material. Now I think it's aluminum. But I am not sure. I tried to upload a video, not sure if it will come out. But the video shows that you can remove the magnet from the bolt and insert the bolt and magnet into the drain plug recess. And the magnet works damn well. I did what others have suggested and smeared a loose Lock or Loctite type product onto the threads of the screw that holds the magnet in place. Overall I'm very happy with it. I definitely feel like I got my money's worth. A good product. Update: After a few hundred miles it's still in place and still looking good. And no leaks. I'm actually buying another one for my other car. Another update: I LOVE this thing. The quality is EXCELLENT. I won't get excited about something if it's not that. Oil changed a second or third time. Every time I take it out of the oil pan, the magnet picks up the metal shavings from my old engines. I have them with every car. I've ridden over 12,000 miles since installing these drain plugs with no problems. No leaks. There is no loss of the central magnet (the soft angle on the central part has held up so far). I will buy another one of these if I ever have another car.
