It's attractive- it's about the color of a green butter mint.This is an absolutely adorable tea set for Gongfu for up to 2. The cups are just right in size, and the tea pot is good for the quick steeps and strains. To use it, you'll also need a kettle, or a coffee pot in a hotel room will do, your tea (I like the compressed cakes of Pu'erh.), and something to put your first steep/strain for discard in. you could use one cup for that, if you are having tea alone.The cups are the perfect size for multiple steepings so that you can really get the full effect of the progression of flavors in a long ripened and fermented tea. Both the teapot and the cups are very easy to wash and dry.The small teapot has a built in strainer that is a pleasure to use and works well. Only very small fragments get through, but I try to be careful in separating my tea from the cake, so that's not a problem.It is a nice thickness that is nice to hold and it seems like it will be quite durable. It's pretty, but it's not delicate. It all packs in a travel bag that has storage pockets built with a thick foam padding.The wooden tray completes the set in a nice way that helps bring the ritual aspect of tea along during travel. The tray does have a drip ring, but it's just a single layer tray and the drip ring is shallow. I don't use it for my first discard, it would overflow. It's still nice to hold everything, and it contributes to the feel of the ritual aspect of tea-time.
