This fan is absolutely average, it has speed, it blows hardly more air than vornado v6, it's quiet, I work in the office and only I can hear my fan, it does not rattle, but simply rotates ordinary blade fans. You can whisper about the fact that you can't feel the air more than 2.5-3 feet away, which is normal considering it's a desktop fan and should be close by. I gave it a three out of five because I'm a tall guy working in a warm office so I need something quiet and cool and it does what I need, wish it had a higher speed. I hope this helps, I'm sick of reading reviews that say "oh it didn't cool my whole bedroom" or "it doesn't make enough white noise for my sleep", who cares? Buy a radio and a real fan.
