I bought these socks for several reasons. In the coming season I'll be sitting at my desk all day with warm feet. 3- Since I don't have to wear shoes to work, it's important to have socks that prevent me from slipping and hurting myself. .4- If I have 1-3 points to check why not have some fun. I find these socks bright and cheerful, just what we all need right now. I took off recently purchased socks from another brand that don't have anti-slip pads and put these on. It's quite odd that the footage above doesn't look the same as below. My legs feel hot on top but underneath, I'm wearing all the fun, no heat! I feel cool tiles in the bathroom, tiles on the floor in the kitchen and even sitting at my desk my feet get a little cold. If my feet felt the same on another brand I'd say it's just me, but it's not. So I'm only giving it two stars for comfort reasons. They are quite soft and stretch well on those legs too. Oh, and a good length too, they hit mid-calf rather than ankle. Surprisingly, the dots on the bottom don't look like the typical dots on store-bought socks or hospital socks, but they seem to keep them in place. I haven't tried them on with shoes because I almost don't know what they are, but I don't see any problems putting shoes on with them. I wonder how they hold up when washed. However, all my socks are washed in garment bags, so I don't see any issues there. So, in summary, I love these socks, I just need to change brand and put them on or put on my big fluffy slippers. This season is coming anyway.
