Review on 🔌 Dorman 742-272 Power Window Motor – Suitable for Ford / Lincoln Models by Tony Wylie

97 F250 HD was listed as fitting but luckily bought both sides. For this application (or at least my truck) the engines were swapped; 742-272 is suitable for the passenger side. I installed 742-273 on the driver's side, the first screw broke off (and I'm a weakling!) so I had to drill it out. Bought stronger, smaller screws from Fastenal, so no more drilling out screws. The window works well but "swings" slightly when raised. I'm not sure if it's the motor or something wrong with my governor lever (I oiled and greased all the pivots and sliding parts before reassembly). It's nice that it comes with a choice of new electrical connectors, but I still had to splice. Docked the star due to weak screws and splicing.
