This is a good product at a good price. Aprilaire only guarantees this when installed by a licensed HVAC professional. I chose it anyway because it comes with a sophisticated humidistat that drives the humidifier and oven fan to deliver humidity even when the oven isn't producing heat. The installation instructions are mostly correct, if not very well written. The supplied poppet valve will eventually fail and is prohibited by many plumbing codes; Sharkbite 3/4”-1/4” T-valve spring available from Revain. Also, treat yourself to a DeWalt sheet metal cutter attachment for your drill and installation will be a breeze.
