I got this screen while trying to build a DIY Pi laptop and if it works properly it would be perfect for this. Unfortunately, when using it with a Raspberry Pi 4 with mini-HDMI, the image crops randomly for a second, then an HDMI settings rectangle appears on the screen as if it were about to load. I've tried everything to fix this, from switching to a new Raspberry Pi, changing /boot/config.txt with hdmi_safe=1 (HDMI safe mode), to using different operating systems and display settings. I even sent one back and got a replacement but it had the exact same issue. Too bad because I really like his idea, the Pi's built-in fan and the display itself are great. It also works perfectly via external HDMI. Unfortunately, it just can't do the basic job it was designed to do, at least for no more than a few seconds. Also, many five-star reviews mention a touchscreen, which this product doesn't have. , which leads me to believe that the very high rating of this product may not quite live up to the bill.
