So my top grain leather kitchen seats are peeling and are less durable than the industry lead me to believe. being slightly disillusioned I decided to just buy a set of seat covers for now to "cover up" the peeling. I do like the look of leather so these seemed to be the most highly regarded.I have installed the seats and first off. they do not look like leather. more like Vinyl. Something like materials used to make the plastic disposable gloves that doctors use. This is fine. they do not look unattractive, just not leather. They also do not feel like leather. They feel like a heavy duty rubber bag, which is also fine. I have not had them long enough to know how they will last, but they are "thin" which makes me worried about it's durability.NOW the problem is the fit. They fit simply by stretching onto the surface using the elastic banded ends. There is no brace for the backing portion which means that the back and the seat tend to "tent". you can actually see the "tenting" in the images Now we get to the REAL downside. The tenting of course traps air. NOW what happens when you have "air" in a "plastic bag" which is elastically enclosed? WE HAVE A WHOOPEE CUSHION! Yes my friends this cover doubles as a whoopee cushion. no whoopee cushion needed. It is built in! Every time someone sits down. air is "pushed" out of the "tent" and through the "elastic" creating such joyous sounds!Now if you like your furniture to make those sounds this works great! If you are a professional clown and enjoys gags. This one is for you! If you like your furniture to be silent. maybe look elsewhere.
