THE CLASP WILL BE BROKEN and the chains/jewelry attached to the chain will fall off.
The clasp first kept the two chains from getting tangled. BUT it is poorly made and within two months the chains came loose (twice) resulting in the loss of the emerald pendant. The clasp has been opened on two separate occasions so you cannot use it unless you want your jewelry to be lost when the clasp opens. It should only be used for jewelry where you don't mind losing it if the clasp opens, which it will.
