When I got this pad I thought it was flimsy, but once I installed it I found that the pressure of the aluminum corner pad made the vinyl more durable than I thought it would be. Looks great, a good way to decorate the look for little money. Because vinyl does not form a watertight seal on the screws, make sure the screws are properly sealed before installing this pad. I installed this as a finishing touch after removing the corner trim, installing the corner sealing tape, sealing and reattaching the corner trim. I also caulked the screw heads and drilled a drainage hole in the bottom of the vinyl. Maybe overkill, but I felt you didn't need a pitted finish!
