Almost got it back when I couldn't get the handle to 'lock' in the extended position. I spent at least 10 minutes trying to figure this out. At first I tried to pull hard, and even pulled hard enough to loosen the handle from the butt (it screws back on). Then I read how to extend the handle as much as possible and turn it clockwise. It took 5 minutes to finally engage the threads so I could turn the knob to lock it in the extended position. You really have to work on getting the threads lined up just right to secure them. If you get stuck, my advice is just spend a few more minutes turning it clockwise to the extended position. It's a good plunger/brush set for the price and the mini plunger is a nice addition, but it's really a hassle to install.
