I confess I haven't given much thought to bit balancing before. I have a custom seat router using an old 3.25hp Porter cable router. with camps about to go. A lot of the other big parts I've used on this thing make for some pretty scary vibrations. But when I inserted this Amana bit and lit it, it was smooth and quiet. The bearings barely wobbled. very impressive considering how much steel is flying around. And my router is not a variable speed model. It is set at 21,000 rpm (the bit is rated at 23,000 max IIRC). I've ridden 8 seats with a clean finish and zero wear. very happy with this purchase!
