I have been using this product for many years. I have very old hardwood floors. When I first moved into my house I didn't know anything and used a steam cleaner to clean them for a while. Of course, it quickly became cloudy and boring. This product brought a finish back to life. Gone were even the few hard-to-reach spots where I left the steam cleaner for too long, resulting in a foggy white triangle. There is no special equipment. One application is enough for a nice glow, but I go for two coats when I'm ambitious. I like to do this every 6-12 months. Leaves floors very shiny with no visible deposits. I took off a star because it doesn't really fill in scratches as stated on the product. In fact I would say it makes them stand out because they are so shiny after use. Although I don't really mind, I have old floors and I don't expect them to be perfect. I'm just glad the ending looks so good!
