I have 3 small poodles (5kg each) and I bought these size 2 boots for walking in the snow as they get very cold without paw guards . The boots are great overall. They do not keep the paws warm, but protect them from frost and from chemicals against snow. They rarely slip off, even when my dogs run, jump, dig and wipe their paws after urinating. They offer good traction on snow, but aren't great for wet, flat surfaces (or ice!), so use caution. If you want boots to help older dogs around the house I would recommend these. I used to wear them at home to protect the wooden floor but I didn't like the weird sound (plastic on wood) of my 3 dogs running around so I only use them for outdoor activities. Applied. They keep the paws dry well, but after >30 minutes there is actually some transferred water in the snow: when I remove them the paws are wet, even though we didn't just go into deep water in the snow. .
