I liked the idea of this to keep my new Fitbit Luxe from getting scratched or banged up. I used it for several months, carefully cleaning both cover and jewel regularly as needed. I supposed it might have been fine if I had only worn the device gently indoors, but I wear my Fitbit outdoors, working. Apparently, tiny grit got under the edges of the cover and, trapped between the cover and the device it was supposedly protecting, scratched up the stainless steel sides of my Fitbit Jewel. This is exactly what I was trying to avoid. I have removed and stopped using these covers and now use just the simple screen protectors as before. I regret the purchase.
