Review on OTC 5961 Drain Plug Tool by Haggis Bryant

This is an ingenious tool that makes removing the oil pan drain plugs much easier when the engine is still hot. I'm happy with his work but I have to be honest and point out some things that could be improved. The first is the size of the pen. I can only describe him as being a bit like a toy. It works, but it's not that easy for me to hold due to its tiny size. I would prefer a grip that is comparable to the grip of a regular full-size screwdriver. A full size tapered grip would have been even better. In addition, flexible shafts can be one step larger. It should be flexible but a little flimsy. Any burrs on the threads of the drain plug and it will be difficult to remove the drain plug without deforming it. Everything else is well thought out and functional. Not overpriced but I think a $15 range would be better value for money. The plastic storage box is great and keeps everything organized. Holding everything together with small pieces would be a nightmare. The screwdriver was a nice surprise and should come in handy for other light jobs.
