Initially skeptical about using capsules in my front loader , but I tried. So glad I did. I've used the same brand of liquid in the past and haven't noticed any decrease in cleaning, maybe even an improvement. I have a first generation front loader that doesn't have a soap dispenser, this made it really easy to do laundry, drop it, then rag, press start. FYI, it's best if it's placed on the outside of the fabric rather than in the middle of the pile to encourage dissolution. no"flare" was not.
