Great idea, too thick and doesn't stay cold

I LOVE this concept but my kid doesn't love this product as much as I thought he would. It's not bad, but so-so. It doesn't get very cold, doesn't stay cold, and ends up chewing on the white part of the holder as much as the cold part. Plus, he collects lint like no other. I just bought him a Frida exercise toothbrush and THIS is a real teething hit. It's less stocky and has better chewing angles. It's not cold, but it seems to comfort him more.
