We bought a size 10 for a 9 lb Chihuahua that we just adopted (note: he has a lot of extra skin as he used to be 20 lbs) . ). The material is VERY soft but I also think it's overpriced and not as thick as another brand my 11lb terrier has (gooby medium). To be honest we only bought this brand because the Chihuahua was the perfect middle ground between small and medium in a Gooby sweater. I also don't like that the collar on this one is very loose causing it to sag on his body. The Gooby sweater has a nice sturdy collar that hasn't stretched in the last year we've had it. I've tried to fix this by simply tying a thread to the bottom (see photo of sweater turned inside out). However, it still got in the way simply because the collar was so loose and sagging.
