I hate to berate someone's product but in this case it has to be done. The hex portion of these nuts is only about 50% the length of the OEM nuts. I've been using OEM since I bought the truck and they still work but round up. I lost one so I decided to replace them all. This won't work for me. I live in Maine, right on the ocean, and it's a double whammy when it comes to salt. My originals often have to be run with a crusher and 5 foot pipe. I twisted the ends of two Craftsman pry bars and now the nuts are rounding out. Those nuts with only 50% contact area probably won't stand up to my situation. So if you think about it, ask yourself: can you usually remove nuts with a 1/4" socket and ratchet? If your answer is yes, then buy it, you'll be fine. If not , then do like me, look for something with more contact area for the percussion jack to growl and chew on, sorry guys you could do better than OEM but you've decided to do them worse. Tomorrow they return to the UPS truck.
