I did not feel any cushioning. These sneakers are stiff and heavy. I wore them once and could not wait to get home and take them off. They fit wide even though I did not purchase a wide size. Even with the laces tied very tight the sneaker was slipping off my heel because it fits wide at the ankle. I had tried them on at home when I got them. The 3 stars is because they appear well made and look nice. But the fit is off and they are uncomfortable to walk in. They are not breathable as the advertising says. My feet were sweating and I do not normally feel my feet sweat in my other sneakers. The advertising also says this is running, hiking sneaker. Definitely not for running, too stiff. I wanted to really like this sneaker because It is looks very nice in the photo and in person. But wearing was not nice at all. If I had not worn them I would be returning them. I will probably give them to good will.
