I am writing this review based on my initial information on these shoes only. Like an idiot I read the reviews and made my sizing decision based on a couple of reviewers who said I had to size up. Um, not in my case. As with most dance shoes, finding the right size can be difficult. I usually read reviews from other dancers and figure out what I need to do to make the shoes fit the best. I had to send these shoes back and have now shrunk them down a size. I ordered a size 8 which is half a size larger than my normal street shoes and they were too big. Because these shoes don't have a normal arch and also stretch in the arch to help you keep nice, pointy toes, they still offer many benefits. When I rated these shoes, I felt like they would fall, slide, and pirouette on the ground. Dancers cannot have this and it can cause injury if they exert themselves because their shoes will fall off! For those looking for these shoes, you can just stick with your regular street size. I like my shoes to be a little tight as I use them quite a bit and I also sweat in them so they relax and stretch. I go one size smaller than my normal shoe size because I like them to be snug. Will update when I get the right size!
