Review on Solar Charger Controller MPT 7210A Regulator by Quintin Gore

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Adjustable voltage to charge any type of battery!

Solar powered for the first time! Tried the Renogy Wanderer for lighted batteries and it couldn't charge above 15.5v, it actually didn't seem to do anything, my bluetooth BMS never showed that a charge input was supplied. It can be easily adjusted to any voltage you want! I connected lit 3.7v batteries in series for 4 seconds, so a fully charged battery is 16.8v. I set the charge voltage to 16.5 and it works great! Using a DC-DC converter to run all my 12 volt devices in my van. there are two things i don't like about the new solar charger: firstly, the connections are too small, secondly, the fan is annoying. I really don't think this controller needs that much cooling! lol but at least you know it makes a difference lol. Highly recommended for anyone trying to charge batteries above 12-14V.
