My child really wanted a magic set and this set seemed to be one of the biggest. She got bored after a day and didn't open it again or even think about it. I think half their fun is finding accessories to do tricks. I would suggest saving money and maybe buying a book on magic or watching youtube and using things around the house. The hat was the best part, but it ripped almost immediately when my little one grabbed it.
