This is a factory part that was used in 2001-2004. I installed a full set of these in my 2003 GMC Sierra 2500HD and had no problems. I recommend applying a small amount of anti-seize to the threads and directly to the chamfer where the body meets the tip and USE THE TORQUE. wrench to install them. You don't want to break any of them by guessing the torque. GM tightening torque is 18 Nm (13 ft-lbs) for head plugs and you want to get it right. GM also lists wire nuts for 18-inch pounds, but I find that's more than I'm comfortable with. I usually do this closer to 12 in-lbs and have never had a loose nut or loose glow plug connection.
