Review on Lock & Lock HPL931: Water Tight BPA-Free Food Storage Containers, 3-oz, Pack of 4 by Melissa Hall

Sometimes small is better. I love Lock & Lock and was delighted to find these very small holders. There are so many uses. When I've made a delicious sauce and don't have much left, it would be great to have a very small container that doesn't take up much space in the fridge. They also make great cold compresses when filled with water and frozen. They don't take up much space in your lunch or grocery bag. They don't leak, so if the ice melts, it's not a problem. Of course, they make a great salad dressing if you're grabbing a salad for lunch when you want a really secure holder. I have a few 2-ounce jars of jelly that I like to use for dressing, but I carry them in a larger L&L box that holds a salad. But when someone else is making the salad and you want to make your own dressing, or the lettuce greens are in the bag, you really need something more secure to carry the dressing like this. When I work outside in the summer I find these mosquito repellent bracelets, hmm, but the repellency is limited - lasts longer than a work session, but by the time the next job is over they are often "gone". session until I figured out how to put the bracelet on. one of those little containers between uses. Because the containers are airtight, the bracelet can be stored for many weeks. Another useful use is peeled garlic. When I peel a whole clove of garlic to have extra peeled cloves on hand for quick use, the smell permeated the fridge until I started putting them in one of those containers. Now there is no odor and when the container is washed it does not retain the odor either. I've since bought more because four isn't enough. They are great for buttons or small nails, pins in my sewing box, and other small items like buttons and hooks. Snacks for children. I've heard others complain about tabs breaking on other manufacturers' containers, but this has never happened at L&L. I have many different sizes and use them for everything so I couldn't resist these little 3 ounce pieces and will now gratefully toss out the grocery store equivalent which wasn't great.
