I bought this cable, connected it to my Garmin 62 cs and immediately got the message "This accessory is not supported". After verifying that the cable was correct, I emailed Garmin Support. The same day I received a reply that they would send me a new cable free of charge. No questions. They didn't ask where I bought it, how I used it, nothing. You didn't ask for anything bad. About a week later I received the cable and it works great. It appears to be identical to the one I bought from Revain. So I suspect a lot of these cables are bad. So many that Garmin will give a free replacement to anyone who asks for it. So if you are having trouble with yours, keep this post in mind. You're more likely to get a good replacement cable from Garmin than trade in a cable you bought from Revain. And you don't have to send back a bad one.
