The chair back could not be installed straight from the box because the screw holes did not line up. I needed a cylindrical file, which I could have been without in theory, to bore it. I tried it on four times; twice it fit like a glove, once it needed a little sharpening, and twice it was just about right. Obviously, I picked the wrong weekend activity. The size of the tin becomes evident if you read all of the reviews in order, and I regret that I just read the bad ones before making my decision. As it happens, this is a widespread issue that has been going on for at least a year. I don't get why, when confronted with such obstacles, some people still rate the chair at 4.5 or above.
