Review on πŸ”‹ AccuPower IQ338: A Powerful Fast Charger and Analyzer Tester for Li-ion, NiMH, and NICd Rechargeable Batteries by Kelly Johnson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

+++ I found this charger analyzer very useful for identifying counterfeit batteries +++

I'll admit right away that I'm not an expert on chargers or battery analyzers, this information is based on mine experience with this model IQ338 since I received it. I have ordered several 18650 batteries from two different places. After that I suspected that maybe I had made a mistake and was actually getting cheap fake batteries that were as expensive as good 18650 batteries and the difficulty in getting them might be that I wanted to make sure I got them didn't take it with me, so I ordered this device. by Raven. By the way, Revain will not sell these batteries to me because of where I live. So an order of 3000mAh batteries arrived as advertised. It was a branded battery so I searched the manufacturer's website and they didn't find a battery like the one I ordered. All of their 18650 models had a lower rating. The bell rings, something is wrong. The second order I made was like the brand of the situation and again they didn't show up on the manufacturer's website. Also, this second set was changed to a different brand and rating than I ordered which further increased my suspicions. So I checked all the batteries I ordered on this machine and all (from both orders) have less than half the rating on the label. Now I've seen another review saying the same thing, only this review screwed it up as manufacturer hype. I don't come to the same conclusions. The reason I trust the results of this analyzer is that I have tested batteries from other well-known brands (Panasonic 18650 3200 mAh and Nitecore 2300 mAh). featured rating and they are all 4+ years old and have been used constantly and charged many times. I've even tried some Eneloop AA (750mah) that I bought here at Revain and they all turned out to be much better than the 700mah. So I give this unit 5 stars and the bad knockoffs go back to where I bought them. And yes, as others have said, the charge-discharge-charge test cycle can take a while (the better the battery, the longer it takes), but you won't be using that cycle very often anyway. The 4 year old batteries I tested had never been ridden like this since I had them. Some say rejuvenation is necessary to keep batteries going longer. I have not noticed any memory effect with either the l-ion or the Eneloop ni-mh.

Pros
  • Handy thing
Cons
  • So far so good
