The fan is beautiful. As for its function? I have no idea. The bracket was not included (but listed as an included part). This is a different style of mounting bracket than those sold at Home Depot so I had to call the manufacturer. I was told I would receive the mount in the mail tomorrow after which it should be here by the end of the week so will update this review when I receive the mount. Fan. And I still have to pay him to come and finish it when the mounting bracket arrives. So in addition to the $269 I spent on this fan, I pay the electrician $100 an hour. As expensive as this ceiling fan is, I expect all the details to be there. Not a very good quality control process. As I said, I will update this review when I get the mounting bracket and can fully confirm the fan function. UPDATE #1, Jonathan Y sent me a brand new fan! I spoke to them on Monday and today I received the fan. An electrician is scheduled to arrive on Friday to complete the installation of the new bracket. After installation I will give another update to talk about the fan itself. Thank you Jonathan Y. Your speed and customer service is top notch! TO UPDATE. The fan is fine, operation is just a very faint sound of air movement, but there is definitely no noise from the engine or even hanging crystals. Thanks Jonathan Y.
