Bought two years ago and never used until I charged a friend's battery the other day. Charging is fine, but a friend reported that it didn't turn off automatically and didn't turn green like I told him. I then tested it on my car battery, which is only a year old and has never needed a manual charge. Tested by hooking up an external ammeter and taking regular photos to get an idea of what the charger was doing but still not satisfied that I had found out if the charger was faulty or just not working as advertised. 1) The indicators are very poor as you have to look directly at them to tell which one is on. 2) No ammeter so even as an electrical engineer I couldn't tell what the charger was doing. 3) Does not automatically switch from 10A mode to charging/standby mode (6-2A) when fully charged false message that the battery cables have been swapped or the battery is defective. (See two photos) 5) Doesn't automatically switch from charge/maintenance mode to 10 amp mode when I turn on the headlights in high heat. 6) In 10 amp mode, the charge current is limited to about 7 amps even if the battery drain is higher Called tech support on March 16, 2021 and Jennifer escalated the call to higher tech support. However, went back into the voicemail jungle to another entry-level support agent who escalated again. I was then placed on hold for 60 minutes before my call was automatically disconnected at 4:12pm CST without speaking to anyone, despite the fact that tech support hours are not until 4:30pm CST Monday through Friday instead of 5pm :00 ended: 00 as stated in the instructions. I will never know if this charger is defective or just poorly designed.
