When mine arrived the jaws were not centered. After examining it, I found that the tab holding the jaw screw was bent and cracked. In addition, there were dents on the ring holding the ball bearings (probably from over-squeezing the two halves together) and the vise's rotation was very rough and jagged, resulting in uneven engraving lines. Sent it back the next day. I really wanted to do this work but as much as I would like to spend $500 on another GRS it makes up for the price without ruining just one engraving.
