I am happy with the router - it has increased the speed and range in my house. There are no hardware problems. Problems with: lessons. The first point to mention is to keep the same router name and password if you have multiple WiFi devices. If you change anything, you will need to reconnect your devices with the new router name/password - this can take several hours. The app needs some work and I am very disappointed with its performance. The SMART CONNECT function is not intelligent at all. I set up the system and tried this feature. This kicked some of my devices off the network. I've had phones and laptops with a 10ft router and changed their connection from 5G to a 2.4MHz connection, which is a slower connection. I had to disable this and restart the devices. You'd better use a WiFi analyzer app to optimize your network. I've also noticed that the speed test built into the Nighthawk app always shows higher scores than any other speed test I run back-to-back on the same device. Not sure why this is happening.
