Works great saved a lot

Nighthawk installed this morning. Connected to the provider's modem and everything was synced. The app was easy to use and allowed me to change the network name and password to those of the old router. All the devices in my house were connected and the app showed me how they were connected. I didn't have to touch any of them. A word of caution. As the router is being configured, each step takes about a minute. Don't keep pushing and think it goes faster. It was a good deal. 10 devices, two…

Terrible, terrible application in the field of network products

The router itself is fine. The Netgear app that runs it is absolutely pathetic. Changing every small setting takes a few minutes while the router does it. some. At this point, the application imposes a crap on you with a subscription. I bet the delay is artificial so they can show you ads. I just couldn't get over the fact that it takes minutes to change every little setting, with ads thrown in my face at every opportunity. There's no downloadable website to manage the router, so you have to…

Nighthawk AX8 AX5700 met my expectations

I'm always nervous about "used" or "refurbished" electronics. Kanga Supply delivered this unit well packaged and protected on time. I've been using the AX5700 for about a week at the time of writing this review and haven't had any issues to date. I set up quite a few routers so I jumped straight to the advanced settings to finish the setup. I haven't used any of the wizards and have never had to contact support, so I can't rate them. If you are familiar with routers, installation is easy. The…

You have to pay us to use them!

As Wi-Fi is six it certainly handles the number of devices I have just like wrt32x which is awful! Most of my devices are just wireless switches and I don't have more than 30 devices total at any given time and still the qos option would fix the problem but no it just makes things worse and keeps all my settings like this Priorities change on their own and the logs simply repeat the default 1969 date over and over again whenever something bad or annoying happens. Half the time I can't access…

Departs every 5 minutes.

First, let me mention that I am not an inexperienced user. I've been in the tech industry for almost 30 years. This router was one of the worst I've ever had to work with, it kept crashing. I test multiple cables, 9 different systems (all with different wifi cards), I even set the settings to the most basic level for beginners to try increased stability without using any of the higher features. Still crashed. I returned this router and bought a TP-Link AX5400 WiFi 6 router, very easy to use…

Happy with the router. Nighthawk app has flaws

I am happy with the router - it has increased the speed and range in my house. There are no hardware problems. Problems with: lessons. The first point to mention is to keep the same router name and password if you have multiple WiFi devices. If you change anything, you will need to reconnect your devices with the new router name/password - this can take several hours. The app needs some work and I am very disappointed with its performance. The SMART CONNECT function is not intelligent at all. I

Like a New "Updated " Device - Happy Customer

First, this router was "updated" through the network mechanism, and there was a certificate in the box confirming this. I immediately felt better before I even plugged it in. As you can see, the package was complete, including an ethernet cable and a quick start guide. The QR code on the device for quick router setup was corrupt. I found it easier to just navigate to the default gateway address to configure it. After the initial setup, the Nighthawk app worked without any issues and I was able…

First impression: bad; Initial Setup Experience: Terrible

CONTEXT: I've been using Apple Airport Extreme for a long time and decided to upgrade to WiFi 6, beamforming, more LAN ports and link aggregation. Spend all day setting up your new router with the ONLY instruction - use the app. I've encountered almost every error the app can give me with no information on how to solve them. Here are some of the cons: - The app forces you to create a Netgear account. I see no reason why this is necessary other than for marketing reasons. - The app makes you…
