This tool was used to install tires on two Sun XTC 700c rims which are the most difficult rims of all tires to install and I have tried several brands and sizes. In fact, the heavy-metal core Parks bars were broken trying to pop the tires on. The Bike Hand Tool made this an easy two-minute, no-scolding job. The tool is light enough to fit in a bike frame bag, but too long for an under saddle bag. But I will definitely take it with me and recommend it to anyone who has difficulty with tire mounting. It seems to be holding up and we'll make it, but I can't in good conscience say that after a few uses. The build material is solid, with a metal support and recoil spring, which is great. The hook may be the only wear and tear item, but after fitting these tires, which I can barely fit with my gorilla hands, it has no detrimental effect. I can highly recommend this remedy.
