A very nice headlamp, with a few quirks. The two button arrangement can mess with you a bit when it's on your head, figuring out which one to push to cycle through the lighting. And I found the strobe mode pretty much useless and annoying. Also the red light is very dim, and you have to cycle through the white light optionsto get to the red light, wiping out your night vision. But the white light is very bright and gives a nice pattern, and that's why I bought this headlamp. It's also nice that it comes with a rechargeable battery, but can also use AAA batteries as a backup. I returned my first one, thinking the battery wasn't charging since it arrived totally uncharged and no lights came on indicating it was charging. When the second one arrived similarly, I just plugged in the charger and let it sit awhile. Along the way the indicator lights came on, and the battery charged up fine. Apparently it has to have some charge in the battery before there's an indication that it's charging.
