Review on Revive Your Drive-Up Club Car Charger Battery: Repair Kit for 48 Volt PowerDrive #22110 & #17930 by Chris Kidd

Bought a repair kit to repair an old PowerDrive 2 charger that was used on a 48v (6-8v batteries) Silver Standard (Refurbished) 2002 Club Car. Before the repair, the charger charged the car. but there were problems. It ran at just 5 amps the whole time and never went out. This resulted in the meter being completely unusable (always reading 5 amps) and the unit overheating severely. I mean burn you overheated. As soon as I received this kit, I opened up the charger and swapped out all three parts that came with the kit. resistor, relay and breaker. Very easy and all took about 30 minutes (and I took my time). I then plugged it into the car and then plugged it into an outlet and was very happy. The charger will now properly charge the vehicle. You can see the meter drop as it takes fewer amps to reach 0 and then shut off! As a result, it no longer heats up much because it no longer rotates! Excellent kit. I bought thermal paste for $5 as it wasn't included. The new parts have now been in the charger for about 4 weeks and are still working great. Highly recommended.
