I received this monitor for office use to monitor dashboards (real time graphs). I already had a couple of 15 inch monitors but needed something bigger for a dedicated dashboard. This 17.3-inch monitor is the perfect size for a good viewing experience without sacrificing desk space. The packaging was very nice and well protected. What do you expect when buying laptops? In the box there is a monitor, 2 USB-C cables, a mini HDMI to HDMI cable, a 45W USB-C power adapter, a screen protector and a magnetic flip case. I love the flip case, it has a carbon fiber structure and is specifically designed to be used as a stand. Although it has all the necessary cables, they are all short. You need an extension cord at your desk. When I put my laptop on the other end of the monitor, the HDMI cable cannot reach the other side of the laptop. But other than that, everything is great with this monitor. At 1080p, this monitor delivers surprisingly sharp and vibrant colors. When I tested the display, I quit the TV series because I liked looking at the screen. It's also nice that the screen has a matte texture to eliminate glare and reflections for a better viewing experience. There are 2 speakers at the bottom of the monitor and since the monitor is slightly tilted, the sound is reflected off the table and amplified. The sound is relatively loud for its size. The OSD looks very different, it's all text on a black background, but that's nice too since all the options are on just one page. This monitor is plug and play with Windows 10, videos and games play perfectly on this monitor. without noticeable delays and artifacts. I tested a Roku box with this monitor and it looks just as good as a personal entertainment system on a table. But mostly I use this on a LinuxMint workstation and haven't had any problems with Linux, the monitor was recognized immediately and no further setup was required. When on the go, this monitor is also portable enough to be used with laptops, iPad Pros and smartphones. With an iPad Pro, I can use the monitor as an "extended" display if the app supports it, like LumaFusion or Netflix. I don't like how it works with an iPhone, but with the Samsung Galaxy Note 9, this monitor can give you the ability to work like a desktop using the Dex feature on Samsung devices. This monitor also works great with game consoles (Playstation) and is small enough to take to LAN parties. The HDR mode on this monitor is great for FPS gaming, allowing you to see everything in-game with ease. Overall I like this monitor. If they have a 4K version I'd probably buy it if it's not that expensive. But for most of my use cases, 1080P is more than enough, and this monitor ticks all the boxes.
