In short, if you're looking for FUN headphones for everyday listening - buy them! I'm a music lover. Since I mainly work with horns, strings and orchestral music, I need a very detailed sound. They are not! But this is my GO-TO for daily listening. I love wearing them because they immerse you in the music and of course the bass is powerful. It's that weird buzz you get at a gig when a deep bass slams into your head. And I wanted that! So I'm very happy. Studio monitors and studio headphones are always great to listen to, but they'll never be as fun as these because they just make you more immersed in the music! If you want headphones to relax and not write music, then buy these because they are better for your purposes - really better! Design wise, I've had mine for 8 months now. I haven't had any problems with them. But I'm a more cautious creature and use a small bag when transporting and I never rip the headphone cords out of the Jax. But mine held up very well. They're also very comfortable, unlike my studio headphones.
