I bolted a vise to this XY table and bolted an XY table to my spindle machine table. There is too much play in the lead screw threads and that is not good. Many games in the xy table. Disks for moving table xy are also full of games. Before movement of the table occurs, the dials rotate a few degrees. Thus, the graduations on the dials used for precise offsets are virtually useless. I only use the XY table for clarity and ease of repositioning the workpiece, as opposed to the clamp/unclamp and vise repositioning if they were attached directly to the drill press table.
