I had high hopes for this but it didn't happen. The photos show the deformation of some slats. When unpacking the bread box, I noticed a slight deformation, but this did not affect the function of the door. However, things got worse as he spent the night on the counter. It doesn't open this morning unless I press the slats, so unfortunately it comes back. Pros: Pre-assembled, sturdy, good size with a small footprint, nicely finished. . This only opens halfway before the deformed bar falls upwards (see 3rd photo), preventing it from rolling back all the way. Simply squeezing the bar fixed the issue (shown in the video) but I don't expect my 91 year old dad to do this every day, nor is it necessary.
