Bought this to travel with my cats for the first time, fly, do round trips and stay in a pet friendly hotel. I used this box at a hotel with clean trash I brought in a ziplock bag (FYI TSA will inspect the trash for explosives or drugs, I was taken aside and they checked it with drops of something so leave it a little more time if you fly with litter. At the hotel, the cats took to the crate straight away. It's big, big enough for big cats, mine are 17lbs each, but since she's big, you need a little more litter to fit the crate to even out soil.She is strong There are cats that won't gnaw through.The inside is waterproof so you don't need the liner.But if you don't want to clean it,you can liner it with a bin liner.I took 2 bin liners just for the folds down and it worked great my only complaint is that it's a little difficult to figure out how to fold it back up and the latch doesn't line up it's not that small for a package (but certainly smaller than a regular box).
