My review is primarily for those who use a MacBook 12 and are thinking whether to switch or not. Compared with the MacBook 12 2022 on the m3 processor and 8 GB of memory, its slowness began to annoy, the screen is small (for tables and text), I wanted a quick unlock. I looked at reviews on the MacBook Air with M1, in the store I looked at the MacBook Air with Intel live - in order to evaluate the screen size, dimensions and keyboard, I decided to take it. I chose the cheapest version - 256 GB SSD, 8 GB RAM and 7 processor cores. Received it just yesterday, "moved" in the evening. First impressions are as follows: The keyboard is different, but I'm already getting used to it - my fingers "fall into" it more, the distance between the keys is greater, the small "left-right" arrows are unusual, I switch the language Control-command out of habit (probably the setting has migrated), I'm not used to using Fn yet. The backlighting of the keys is regulated in the menu, not by the buttons. I managed to heat it noticeably - by running a full scan with Kaspersky antivirus, the battery also quickly ran out. Today, much less is spent, I did not conduct tests, I βdrivenβ a little, but the difference is already felt. The speed of work has increased significantly, Teams does not slow down - it was very annoying to sometimes have to wait until you manage to type a message. The same Kaspersky worked, according to sensations, 10 times faster (full check). Turns on/reboots quickly, login via Touch ID instantly, also quickly using it to enter passwords on sites. Applications for iPhone iPad did not try, I do not need. The necessary software has earned. I use a browser, MS Office package. Satisfied with performance, faster and more comfortable to work. I will add a little - "lags" with MS Office (Tims) are sometimes still observed. Personally, I'm still happy with the transition.
