Partly my fault. I was expecting flexible tape lights and didn't quite pay attention when purchasing this kit. The strips are made of hard plastic and feel a little flimsy. As I pressed the strips against the double-sided tape, I heard a crackling sound, telling me the plastic is very poor quality. The power connector had a bent pin so I had to straighten it out with a small screwdriver. Fastening clips also don't hold the band in place. Luckily there are 6 small (and I mean small!) pieces of double sided tape otherwise I would have to buy them as the mounting clips are useless in my opinion and the strips push almost an inch off the surface. You want to install them. I assume the mounting clips are there so you can rotate the light in the clips, but if they're "super bright" why would you need to tilt them at all? Again, my fault for not reading the product description carefully before purchasing. Next time I need an LED strip I'll just go to my local Lowe's and spend the extra money. Wrong Way. When I plugged it into the first band and flipped the switch, nothing happened. After further inspection and a bit of head scratching, I bent the pins, flipped the plug, and inserted it into the socket. Voila, let there be light! It would be a good idea to mark the connector and the LED strips with small polarity (+/-) indicators. Also, in my opinion, calling these strips "super bright" is almost false advertising. They're bright, but definitely not "super" bright. Lowe's sells a similar 36-inch flexible LED strip kit for just $30 with twice as many LEDs. I'll know better next time.
