I'm writing this to let others know this is easy to install. I had no electrical or other problems. It took less than an hour from preparing the wiring to dismantling the old jack and installing a new jack. The grounding issues mentioned in other reviews didn't exist for me. The connector now comes with positive (black) and negative (white) wires. The black one (with built-in fuse box) goes to the positive battery terminal and the white one to the negative terminal. I installed the jack and connected the cables and it worked. One problem is that the instructions aren't very good and don't mention a negative wire, instead relying on star washers for grounding. You must correct the instructions. In general, I think a lot of products have bad instructions. Instructions without pictures are useless, and blurry pictures aren't much better. In the do-it-yourself era, manufacturers need to pay more attention to quality assurance instructions. And if the product has been updated, the instructions must match the update.
