I used this for my dwarf hamster, kept the bottom clean and set it up on my bed so he wouldn't hurt himself if he fell off his climbing toys. It's very easy to set up, clean, and put away quickly. Gave it 4 stars because the bottom is too slippery for his feet and he had trouble getting around (so maybe put a towel or blanket down for your pet), and because it's a small space for a more energetic animal (though it's big enough that I can sit in there with him, so that's nice). And because you *have* to watch closely and never leave your pet unattended because a rodent (even old ones) can and will chew through this material and/or climb right out, easily. I often had to stop him from both of those things, but I expected this when I bought it.
